Rodolfo Rassendyll, un aut\u00e9ntico caballero brit\u00e1nico, llega al imaginario reino de Ruritania para pasar unas cortas vacaciones. Sin embargo, en la v\u00edspera de la coronaci\u00f3n, el soberano es secuestrado por su ambicioso hermano Rupert de Hentzau que desea para s\u00ed el trono. Los s\u00fabditos de confianza del monarca, adivinando las intenciones del perverso hermano, convencen a Rodolfo para que suplante al rey. Su parecido es tan extraordinario que ninguno de los restantes s\u00fabditos nota la diferencia. \u00a1Pero hay que rescatar al verdadero rey! La famosa novela de Anthony Hope, ha sido objeto de seis versiones cinematogr\u00e1ficas distintas. Pero quiz\u00e1 sea \u00e9sta, dirigida por John Cromwell<\/a>, la mejor. Efectivamente, su productor David O.
