Ross McEwen (Joel McCrea) roba un banco antes las mismas narices del orgulloso sheriff Pat Garrett (Charles Bickford), que organiza una partida de alguaciles y se lanza en su persecuci\u00f3n por el sur de Nuevo M\u00e9xico. Pero\u00a0 el impecable Garret le pisa los talones. Ins\u00f3lito western sin tiros ni pu\u00f1etazos, Cuatro caras del oeste se distingue por la habilidad y hondura del gui\u00f3n, las excelentes interpretaciones (muchos la consideran el mejor trabajo de\u00a0 Joel McCrea) y la belleza de su fotograf\u00eda en exteriores. La pel\u00edcula adapta una novela de Eugene Manlove Rhodes, varias de cuyas obras fueron llevadas al cine en la \u00e9poca muda. Vinculado sobre todo la serie B, el eficaz director Alfred E.
